Reset the Date on a Starplus STS System
I had to take my first dive into editing a PBX system’s settings today. I was tasked with correcting the date on our Starplus STS system because the date was wrong. The information I needed wasn’t in the manual, but after a quick google search, I found these instructions:
- Dial 692. You should hear a tone that confirms your selection. If you hear three “error” beeps you need to go to an extension that has rights to edit system settings.
- Dial the date as follows : YYMMDDHHMM where YY = last two digits of the year, MM = two digit month, DD = two digit day, HH = two digit hour, and MM = two digit minute (for example, Janruary 13th 2010 at 11:37am would be ‘1001131137′)
- You should hear a beep to confirm a successful entry.
- If the phone display doesn’t update, pick up the handset and hang it up again. It should get the new settings automatically.
Please note you must do this on a phone system with rights to edit system settings.
