Reset the Date on a Starplus STS System

January 13th, 2010 admin Leave a comment Go to comments

I had to take my first dive into editing a PBX system’s settings today. I was tasked with correcting the date on our Starplus STS system because the date was wrong. The information I needed wasn’t in the manual, but after a quick google search, I found these instructions:

  1. Dial 692. You should hear a tone that confirms your selection. If you hear three “error” beeps you need to go to an extension that has rights to edit system settings.
  2. Dial the date as follows : YYMMDDHHMM where YY = last two digits of the year, MM = two digit month, DD = two digit day, HH = two digit hour, and MM = two digit minute (for example, Janruary 13th 2010 at 11:37am would be ‘1001131137′)
  3. You should hear a beep to confirm a successful entry.
  4. If the phone display doesn’t update, pick up the handset and hang it up again. It should get the new settings automatically.

Please note you must do this on a phone system with rights to edit system settings.
